School Counseling Program Mission
The mission of the Hunt School counseling program is to provide a comprehensive developmental school counseling program to enable our students to be productive members of society. Through the partnership of the counselor, administrators, students, families, and community, Hunt students will be better equipped to successfully meet challenges in each developmental area.
What is a Comprehensive Counseling Program?
A comprehensive counseling program is a counseling program that proactively addresses all areas of student development: academic, personal/social, and career. The program strives to help each student reach his or her potential and utilizes a balanced approach of consultation, collaboration, coordination, education, advocacy, and leadership. It is preventative and proactive in nature and designed to reach all students. Classroom lessons are taught by the counselor on a variety of topics.
